Food for Focus Pantry Project
Community Sharing (C.S.) is in the start up phase of a new program to assist the schools with snacks for kids during the school days. C.S. shared how they are being emailed by teachers asking for assistance for snacks for their students stating they are hungry and not able to focus as much due to their hunger. She went on to say that all students are afforded free breakfast and lunch but if they didn't have a nutritious meal the night before their hunger is an issue. Also, some may not make it to school in time to get the free breakfast.
With that they are starting a new program to be named “School Pantry Project”. They hope to be able to supply teachers at all HV schools with the snacks for those who need it.
