2024 Couples Retreats
By Pastor Tom Anderson
Are you ready to refresh, renew and rekindle the flame in your marriage?
You may have heard the phrase – “Come apart before you come apart.” Jesus said something similar to his disciples when he gave this invitation: “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.” (Mark 6:31). Life is demanding and complicated. Without intentional practices of rest and renewal none of us are able to keep perspective. This is especially true of marriage relationships. Without tending, the spark that brought a couple together can begin to fade. Lake Ann Camp’s Couples Retreat is perfectly designed to stir the embers and reignite the flame.
Whether you are just beginning the marriage journey, or have been married for decades, you can expect to be encouraged and filled with hope for the days ahead. Practical messages, engaging activities, and quiet moments provide rest and renewal. Check it out at Lake Ann Camp and discover life at its best.
There are three opportunities to choose from in 2024:
COUPLES RETREAT #1 THURS, APRIL 4 -SAT, APRIL 6 JOHN VERMILYA
When it’s tempting to sit as a spectator in the stands, John Vermilya challenges audiences to resist spiritual apathy, stagnancy, and religiosity—and instead, to get in the game by following Jesus Christ with full abandon. Through storytelling and humor, he reflects on his own Christian walk and his experiences as an athlete, including four years as a professional soccer player for the Charlotte Eagles, and more than a decade as a soccer ministry tour leader with Missionary Athletes International.
COUPLES RETREAT #2 FRI, APRIL 19 - SUN, APRIL 21 JOHN & TAMI SCALLY
John and Tami Scally have been married for over 23 years. They have been given a platform by God to help struggling couples as they share the life lessons that they have learned on their journey of faith. Having served the Lord in both youth ministry and now lead pastor ministry, their experiences are vast. They are not afraid to share their own struggles believing that God can change any and every issue. Their transparency and wisdom is guaranteed to be refreshing and helpful for each couple who attends.
COUPLES RETREAT #3 FRI, APRIL 26 - SUN, APRIL 28 JASON & MEREDITH JACKSON
Jason met his wife, Meredith, when they were both freshmen in college where Jason and Meredith served together in full-time youth ministry for fifteen years in Pennsylvania before joining the Saylorville staff in 2016. Their passion is to see men and women come to know, love and follow Jesus with their whole heart, soul and strength.
