Feed and Clothe the Needy

Know someone who needs groceries? Know someone who needs shoes or a good winter coat? Know someone who needs a tutor for their children or is trying to get a G.E.D? Know someone who needs emergency assistance with a shut-off notice? Or pet food? Community Sharing Outreach Center here in Highland does all this and more!

You must be a resident of the Huron Valley School District and meet State of Michigan Emergency Food Assistance guidelines. In addition, low income seniors registered with Community Sharing can receive Focus:HOPE food at the pantry. The U.S. Department of Agriculture provides additional food on a quarterly basis for Community Sharing clients.

Community Sharing provides Caseworkers to offer referrals to other human service agencies and programs so that people can get the help and support they need.

For assistance call Community Sharing 248-889-0347 Tuesdays from 10 AM to 1 PM and on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 PM to 8 PM or the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10 AM to Noon. Emergency financial assistance is by appointment only.

You can drop off donations of clothing, shoes, pet food and non-perishable food Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM. 2nd Tuesdays of the month 6 PM to 8 PM and 2nd Saturdays of the month 10 AM to Noon.

Volunteers are both needed and welcome to care for the building, stocking shelves and helping with publicity and fundraising. You can donate items for their twice-yearly garage sales.
