Our Values
Our Values
Our values are rooted in our ability to connect, grow and serve with you, our community, and with Christ. For us it's more than just attending church, it’s engaged in the life of the church and growing with us to live beyond ordinary.
Family
We value and celebrate authentic connections with each other. We are family. John 13:35 says “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Biblical
We use scripture as the foundation for all we do. Psalm 119:105 says “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Authentic
We’re everyday people who authentically do life together. None of us are perfect and we don’t expect you to be either. Galatians 6:2 says “Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Ephesians 4:32 says “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Enthusiastic
We sing and worship joyfully. We like to have fun in church & life. Ephesians 6:7 says, “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people”; Psalm 100:2 says, “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”
Serve Generously
We use our time, talents & treasures to serve without boundaries. We see needs & meet those needs. (1 Timothy 6:18 says, “They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.”; 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”)
Welcoming
We are casual, warm, welcoming and understanding. All belong here. 1 Timothy 6:18 says, “They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.” 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
Statement of Inclusion
God made all creation and saw that it was good. As a diverse people of God, we follow the example of Jesus’ ministry to all persons. Inclusiveness means openness, acceptance, and support that enables all persons to participate in the spiritual life of the Church and its service to the community and the world.
Inclusiveness prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, or biological gender. The ministries of Thrive Church are open to all persons. Those eligible for leadership roles are those committed to the doctrine and discipline of the church.
